FSO Benchamas 2 is located in Benchamas field in the Gulf of Thailand at Block B8/32, approximately 200 km offshore at a water depth of 70 m. The field is operated by Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd.

She was converted from the Aframax tanker and upon completion of the conversion on 9 April 2018, FSO Benchamas 2 departed Pasir Gudang, Johor under tow bound for the Gulf of Thailand. The FSO arrived at the location on 15 April 2018 and is permanently moored at Block B8/32. FSO Benchamas 2 has a deadweight tonne of 105.400 tonnes and has a storage capacity of 650,000 barrels with a design of 12 years without dry-docking.

She is equipped with the necessary accommodation and life support facilities for 100 persons.
